Rehabilitation and Lay Up

We provide a fully-equipped, peaceful, calm environment for horses recovering from injuries, surgery or other health problems. Our aim is to restore your horse to full health through rehabilitation, therapy, exercise and reconditioning. Working closely with the referring veterinarian we will implement a program specifically geared toward your horse’s needs. Our Ranch Manager is well versed in a wide spectrum of horse care including hydrotherapy, nutrition, wound care, equine massage, exercise and conditioning.

We will help you determine the goal of the program, be it to allow your horse to recover from surgery, from a specific injury, improve the overall health or condition of your horse or reduce lay up time. The more conditioned a horse’s muscles are, the less injury-prone the horse is likely to be. Toward that goal we will work with appropriate professionals to care for your horse. You may continue to use your own veterinarian or entrust your horse to the care of the Ranch’s consulting veterinarian. Our farrier specializes in corrective shoeing and trimming. We also have a consulting equine chiropractor and a team of microcurrent therapists who work in concert with the veterinarian.
